Labor Day weekend

We had such a fun week and Labor Day weekend! We spent the week going to the pool several times, the splashpad and park twice,went to the library for Mother Goose time and played with friends. It was great that our play dates just picked right back up now that summer is over. Lainey had a blast and enjoyed getting back into a routine.

This weekend was great too! It was the last weekend that Brian will have off for about a month so we packed in tons of fun together. Some of our favorite things were the Children's Museum downtown, college football,  putting our fall decorations out, a bbq with friends on Monday and one last day at the YMCA waterpark.

Lainey loves the Houston Children's Museum and so I really wanted Brian to get to see her have fun. We've gone with friends before, but I just couldn't put into words the excitement she experienced. Brian loved getting to watch her play and she had an absolute ball! She loves the life size light bright, the sun catcher flowers that spin, the slides, the mirrors, the music and balls, the girl just loves the place. We may get a membership so we can go more often once she is one. It is a blast!


We also loved getting to swim at the Y's waterpark one last day. It's sad that it will be closed until next summer. We have had so much fun there this summer and swimming in the lap pool just is not the same. She always goes over to the gate and points to the other pool when we are there during the week. She just doesn't understand why we can't swim there. :)

I am so thankful for a wonderful weekend. Brian has been working so late that he hasn't gotten to see Lainey  in the evenings so a weekend together was perfect! We are blessed!
